I love video games. Growing up, I played on the family computer and various Nintendo consoles. In school, I enjoyed experimenting with computers. I learned how to use Unity and began creating small games. University only intensified my interest in crafting fun and engaging experiences while meeting people as passionate as I am about making and playing games. During that time, I’ve developed various systems for games, including but not limited to procedural generation, physics, player controllers, cameras, and tools for other developers and designers that I’ve had the pleasure of working with.

Personally I enjoy faster paced action games. It’s why I’ve gravitated towards racing and air combat games. But in reality I have a deep appreciation for all genres, even if I might be quite bad at playing multiplayer, player versus player. 😅 I prefer playing with controllers whether on PC or Console. So much so, that a fun quirk I’ve got is breaking controller support into games that were not designed for it. If you’re wondering, my favorite controller currently is the PlayStation DualSense Controller.

In my second year of study, our group, Stellar Octopians, won the award for the third-best overall game at the Level Up Showcase in Toronto of April 2023 for our game, Moonset. Moonset is a third-person platformer that emphasizes speed and maneuverability. We received recognition from our peers for our design, sound, and technology, which helped us stand out in our second year.
